Who am I?

Hello everyone! I would like to introduce myself. My name is Alexis Worthen. I was blessed to grow up in Virginia, USA. When my family joined the church I found a home in the Youth Group and Girl Scouts, eagerly accepting every opportunity that I came across to serve others. It was in High School that I received my calling into Missions, although it would take me some years to finally walk in obedience. Now I am serving God in Thailand through an organization called YWAM. I have lived in Northern Thailand since 2012. Over that time God has been equipping me for my calling while giving me in-field experience with different types of ministry. Now it is time for me to move into the vision and passion God has given me for sharing the Gospel with the unreached. If you are not familiar with this term, I encourage you to watch the video at the bottom of the page which explains more about what that means. So what is my vision?

To Reach the Unreached...

wpa1

My vision is to reach the unreached Thai people in a way that they can understand and receive the Gospel. This takes time to build relationships and trust but is possible. By identifying cultural bridges we are able to provide the Thai people a way to follow Jesus without taking them out of their family, community, and culture.

My dream is to help Thais who have encountered Christ and want to pursue a relationship with Him, grow as disciples and give them the confidence and tools to make disciples of their own, leading to a homegrown discipleship movement that is reproducible, rapid growing, and sustainable.
